What’s the Circular Economy?

The Circular Economy is based on the principle that humanity needs to break the ‘take-make-waste’ systems of production in order to better preserve our natural resources. A big part of this is striving to reuse and repurpose existing goods instead of buying — and later discarding — brand-new items.

Screan contributes to the Circular Economy by helping buyers navigate the second-hand goods market to find and purchase quality used goods, without the associated stress and hassle.

When you buy a used car or any other pre-owned goods through Screan, you’re contributing to a greener and more sustainable world.

Screan contributes to social upliftment

Our goal is for hundreds (and eventually thousands) of Screaners nationwide to be able to showcase their Screaning services on our platform.

This will provide a valuable employment opportunity in South Africa’s struggling economy and will empower many individuals to add to their income or become financially independent through Screan.

Screaners take home up to 75% of the Screaning fee, increasing their ability to provide for themselves and their families.

Screan supports 1% for the Planet

Screan subscribes to 1% for the Planet, which means that 1% of our turnover goes to local grassroots social and environmental causes of our choice.

1% for the Planet is a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through annual memberships and everyday actions and we are proud to be a member.
